CEO of the Americas
Rob is CEO of The Americas for Essence, a global digital agency that is part of GroupM. In this role, he is responsible for the management of all US offices, supporting business development initiatives and identifying regional growth opportunities. Rob also oversees the agency’s programmatic, biddable, planning, campaign management, investment, analytics, creative and advertising operations teams across its Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Seattle offices, for clients such as Google, Viber and Method. The agency manages over $850MM in annual spend.
Rob boasts more than 20 years of experience. Before joining Essence, he served as executive vice president, managing director at MediaVest. During his tenure there, he led the businesses for Wal-Mart, Heineken, Turner Broadcasting System, TD Ameritrade and Microsoft’s Windows Phone. Rob began his career at Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was a group planning director for the Procter & Gamble business. He also previously served as managing partner, account director of the American Express and Sprint/Nextel accounts at Mindshare.
Rob believes understanding the past is key to creating the future, so he loves antique media technology. So much so that he restores radios from the 1920s and 30s. A self-proclaimed indoor and beach volleyball nut, he plays all year long.
