Global Communications Planning Director on Nike
Daniel Sheniak is a veteran of 19-plus years at Wieden+Kennedy. He started his advertising career at the creative agency in 1996, after graduating from Syracuse University. He has been on the Nike account for his entire tenure at W+K and is now the global communications planning director.
Daniel’s passion for creativity in media has immensely shaped the Nike account and contributed to the global integrated communications team it is today. He has collaborated with some of the best creative minds in the world and helped amplify the work to impact consumers and pop culture. At the end of the day that’s what excites him the most, making brands mean something to people and expressing their POVs in new and interesting ways.
As an industry veteran, Daniel has deep knowledge of the US communications, sports, culture, and technology landscapes. Since 2008, his role has expanded to focus on understanding the globe and how to activate ideas around the world that can celebrate a common powerful insight, as well as crafted to feel locally relevant. Daniel is based in Portland, Oregon at W+K headquarters, and also spends a significant amount of time in China, Japan, Brazil, and Europe, helping grow and inspire the W+K/Nike team around the world.
