Initiative

John LaGrosse recently joined Initiative as the Director of Communications Design for the Arby’s business.  With a career spanning 13 years, he has an extensive background in media strategy across a wide variety of categories and agencies. 

 

After starting out at Mindshare on the Novartis Pharmaceuticals account, John spent the bulk of his career within Mediavest (now Spark Foundry) and Omnicom Media Group.  At Mediavest, John spent over four years on the Kraft Foods business with highlights including content-led brand relaunches of the Triscuit and Planters' franchises.  In 2011, John was recruited to PHD by a former client to help establish Google's media strategy.  During his three years on the business, he served as one of several leads for products such as Chromebook, Google Fiber, Google Drive, and Google Maps.  In 2014, John transitioned to OMD to serve as the Associate Director strategic lead on Hasbro, on-boading this new business win and revamping their strategic approach to the market.  Looking for a new challenge, John left the agency business in 2015 and spent two years working in sales for Video and Sports Publishing start-ups before returning to his agency roots.

 

Originally from Cape May, NJ, John grew up predominately in the Philadelphia suburbs before starting at Fordham University in 2000.  He remained in the New York area (Manhattan and Hoboken) until the fall of 2017 when he and his wife, Rachel, purchased their first house in Yardley, PA.  John is an avid runner, die hard Philly sports fan, TV/Film buff, and a new father to his son, Jackson.  With the recent changes, John's weekends are slowly transitioning from playing sports and nights out to Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond (if there's time).
